More about the logo in Aimee’s words:
This design started with the idea of incorporating the star blanket. The star blanket is used in celebration of significant life events; it is used to honour, protect, and celebrate the individual who wears it. When we are wrapped in a star blanket, it is believed that your ancestors are amongst you and with you.
The braid border is to honour mind, body, and spirit. The sun and moon are symbols to honour the grandmothers and grandfathers. The design on the bottom is the North Saskatchewan River, which is of such great significance to the Town of Devon.”
